Book 15 Minute Consultation
Relationship counselling (Attachment Based Therapy) - For individuals wanting clarity, confidence, and healthier patterns
Relationship Counselling focuses on helping you understand your relational experiences — how you communicate, how you set boundaries, how you respond to conflict, and how your attachment history shapes the way you connect with others.  You may benefit from relationship coaching / attachment therapy if you are:
  • Struggling with dating or romantic patterns
  • Feeling stuck in repeated relational cycles
  • Wanting to build healthier boundaries and self-trust
  • Healing from emotionally manipulative or self-absorbed relationships
Together, we explore your values, beliefs, emotions, and long-standing patterns. Through awareness building, understanding your attachment styles, mindfulness-based strategies, and practical communication tools, you’ll learn to relate to others with greater clarity and confidence.  Relationship counselling helps you cultivate relationships that are supportive, reciprocal, and aligned with who you’re becoming.

Couples Counselling - Strengthening connection, communication, and emotional safety
Couples counselling provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space for partners to explore what’s happening in their relationship — the challenges, the strengths, and the patterns that keep you feeling disconnected.
In couples sessions, Joy supports you in:
  • Improving communication and reducing misunderstandings
  • Exploring underlying emotional needs and attachment styles
  • Working through conflict in healthier, more constructive ways
  • Rebuilding trust after ruptures
  • Deepening emotional and physical intimacy
  • Navigating cultural, family, or identity-based differences
  • Understanding how each partner’s history shapes the relationship
Using an attachment-based, relational approach and awareness building  — Joy helps both partners feel heard, respected, and supported.

How Relationship Counselling and Couples Counselling Complement Each Other
Relationship counselling focuses on your personal growth within relationships, while couples counselling supports both partners together.

Many clients choose to begin with individual relationship work and later move into couples sessions, or vice versa.  Both approaches aim to help you build relationships that feel grounded, respectful, and emotionally nourishing.  Together, we approach your relationships with mindfulness, curiosity, and compassion.
